( 3 / 1157 )The Laverda is now the second fastest alternatively fuelled drag vehicle in the UK! Impressively, Russ put the 650 Laverda "into the 11s" as they say in drag racing with 11.96s at 110.97mph.
Fastest was the Bike magazine Triumph 675 which team Inzane rider Russ Joyner put "into the 10s" at 10.87 at 128.46mph, making him fastest on the day.
This will be on "fifth gear" during its next series, although Tiff Needell might fail to mention that fittingly he was beaten into fifth place!

( 3 / 758 )Assuming that the Laverda survives both the "Bike" magazine Bruntingthorpe test on Thursday 24th and the Alternative Energy drag race (see links) at Santapod on Friday 25th, we will be at the third round of the Bemsee Minitwins at Cadwell.
Sadly for Laverda fans, this could be the last outing for the 650 Formula in the series,as the team prepares to rollout another (faster) biofuel racer next month. Watch this space...
